Chelsea To Recall 24-year-old, Kurt Zouma in summer

With FIFA upholding Chelsea’s transfer ban, Everton’s chances to sign Kurt Zouma on a permanent deal have been decreased significantly.

The Merseysiders had hoped that FIFA would temporarily freeze the two-year transfer ban, enabling the Blues to make signings in the upcoming window and subsequently sanction sales of fringe players to lower their wage bill.

However, with the ban, the Blues are unlikely to sell Kurt Zouma, which means the Toffees will need to scour the transfer market for an alternative.

With club hero Phil Jagielka nearing the end of his career, Everton will need a fourth center-back next campaign, to go along with Michael Keane, Yerry Mina and Mason Holgate and Maroc silva’s side have identified four potential center-backs who can fit Everton.

The Newcastle captain Jamaal Lascelles in on the transfer target and the 25-year old would represent a solid signing for both the Merseysider with another Englishman James Tarkowski could be the second defensive signing from Burnley, and the 26-year-old star would reunite with Michael Keane at Goodison Park.

Meanwhile, Chelsea are negotiating with Brazil international David Luiz as the Blues do not want to lose the quality players on free with transfer ban slapped on their head.

David Luiz’s compatriot Willian is also struggling to agree with terms with the FA Cup holders as the Selecao star is demanding a three-year extension and Chelsea are reluctant to let that happen with their new policy restricting to sign players over the age of 30 for several years.
